About Me

live my best life

The Official Line

Hi, I'm Laura. I originally studied modern languages at Oxford University. After that, I worked as a lawyer in London for a little while.

I wanted to move into something more people-focused, which led me to complete an MSc in Psychology and begin training as a psychotherapist, both in London. I am currently in the final stages of completing my MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy.

My therapeutic work draws from psychodynamic tradition and attachment theories, supported by insights from contemporary neuroscience.

I am experienced at supporting people with a range of presenting issues including anxiety and low self-esteem, depression and mood disorders, trauma and PTSD, as well as attachment and relationship/interpersonal difficulties.

Alongside my private practice, I collaborate with executive coaching organisations. I also volunteer with mental health charities and low-cost counselling services - something I care about deeply, as I believe psychological support should be accessible to everyone.

The Bottom Line

I often find that bios can present a life as if it has been lived in a straight line: polished and clean-cut. But most of us know that real life rarely works that way. My own path has included unexpected turns and quiet transformations that have shaped me in ways no academic qualification ever could.

These lived experiences are at the heart of my work, and my practice is shaped just as much by them - if not more so - as by any professional ‘accomplishment’.

Therapy with me is about being met - human to human - in a space that’s safe, respectful, and real. My intention is to show up with warmth, curiosity, and a genuine intention to understand your world.

I also don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all model of psychotherapy - I believe that each person brings their own individual experiences, history, and ways of relating to the world.

Outside of clinical work, I try and live by the Italian philosophy of "mangia bene e ridi spesso" - eat well and laugh often.
